Thanks for all the help folks! I’ll do my research and see what i can come up with. And yes my research is a little specific regarding a curtain property I’m wanting to analyze hoping to invest in in the near future!

Hello everyone, very new to the real estate game and trying to analyze a multi family deal. I’ve read multiple articles, watched videos on YouTube and BP trying to figure out how to analyze correctly. I’m trying to find any information on the property taxes for past years and have no idea where to start. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

@Matt Morgan

Hey Matt just wondering when the meetup you talked about in the Omaha, papillion area meets. When and where is all i need. Thanks!

@Clark Kirkpatrick

Thank you for your response Clark! I definitely need to talk to a few lenders to see what my options are. And i didn’t know i get could a loan with lower credit with house hacking. I’ll have to think on that. Maybe go with my original strategy, live for free or very low rent, and use the money i would be using for rent to speed up my debt expenses. Unfortunately, i do not live for free now. But if i can qualify for a solid loan with low credit, i should definitely be looking for a duplex to move into. That also brings up the question about how good of a loan i qualify for with low credit. With low credit wouldn’t my interests rates and mortgage payment each month be higher?

Hello investors! My name is Sam Olson. First post here on BP. I have a ton of questions but i just wanted to start by asking a few. My future goals are to invest in a duplex, triplex, or fourplex, live in one of the units and rent the others out. After expenses, use the income from the other tenants to help pay for the mortgage on the property and eventually move out and invest in a primary residence for my family and i while holding onto that first investment for cash flow. I’d like to get my foot in the door with this strategy and eventually invest in commercial, specifically multifamily. Is this a good way to get started? Also should i let my poor credit from bad decisions in my younger years keep me from investing? Should i keep working to pay off my debt completely before i take out a loan on a duplex or something slightly larger? Please share any thoughts you might have, anything is appreciated.
