@Aaron Mazzrillo I am reading your post 5 minutes before the meetup in Arcadia so I will miss this one. There are many REI groups in So Cal - which are your favorites? Looks like Bruce Norris is talking in December in Arcadia. He was mentioned (highly favorable) in Will Barnard's podcast. Any other recommendations for Inland Empire?

I was wondering if anyone knew any REI attorney's in Southern California, preferably in the Inland Empire? I have recently been involved with several real estate projects. I jumped into them with equity partners. With the speed that we were moving, and the fact that I do not know any attorneys, I wrote my own partnership agreements. We have been putting ourselves as individuals on title. We have a couple of other deals coming up and I really want to get the advise of an attorney.

Dear @Brian Burke,

You stated that an entity is needed when you have equity partners. I was wondering if you could explain why it's so important for that situation.

Dear BP members...

I asked this question in the forum and I really thought someone might reply. I am in the Los Angeles area and there are lot's of people in the business here. So my question is...what did I do wrong? Did I post in the wrong forum? Is the question too ambiguous? Are there really no good lawyers in my area?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear friendly BP members,

I thought I would get some responses to this question. Anyone?

Post: Documenting cash transactions

Dear BP members,

I have renovating a couple of houses and I like to hire cheap labor and buy stuff at swap meets. I pay less when I hire college students or family members and when I buy sinks and cabinets and other materials at the yard sales and swap meets. However, for those types of transactions I have no receipts and I always need to pay cash! I like to have proper records so that I can document expenses for tax purposes.

What do you guys do about this?

Thanks for your help in advance…

Sam

I am a real estate investor and I want to reach into a new area of business where I involve private investors to fund projects. I need to create an appropriate note and deed and get them recorded. I want to use an attorney to make sure it's done right and all questions are answered. I would like to find an attorney near Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Diamond Bar, Pomona, San Dimas, Covina, Upland, or Claremont, CA. Any advice?

Great post David Beard. I need loan #5. FYI, it is now 3 years after your post... I recently tried Quicken Loans and they would not do the 5th loan even though one of my loans is my primary residence. I will call B of A.

Dear Justin S.,

I checked out www.keytlaw.com; seems like a great resource.

I would like to find a good real estate legal company like it in my neck of the woods (Southern California).

If anyone has a good recommendation, I would like to check them out.

Sam
