@Michelle High I would reach out to some investors in the Facebook groups for investors in the area. This way you get firsthand knowledge of the quality of service a company provides. Are you an out of state investor? I’d highly suggest these groups as a way to stay current. Metro Detroit Real Estate Investors is a great place to start.

@Robert Cooper welcome to Detroit, the city where you will find $300k houses and $30k houses in the same zip code! I would suggest discussing the type of tenants you want to attract with your realtor and letting that dictate the location you invest in. You might also want to consider what you want your units to cash flow a month as some areas rent for more than others. I sent you a message. Hope this helps!

@Ethan Stewart you might want to check out Wholesaling Inc’s podcast. They are usually pretty good about giving step by step instructions. Also, check out meetup.com and go to some of the local events. Great places to network with investors looking for deals.

@Oren K. I grew up in this area. Dexter and Elmhurst itself is a pretty rough area. The “good side” of Dexter is on the other side of Davison. Oakman is a good street to look at. Not many multi families on Oakman though. Inbox me if you have more questions. I lived in this neighborhood 20+ years.

@Joe Wolf don't worry about trying to keep up with experienced investors! Most of them are happy to explain things. I'd suggest Renegade Detroit, Unique Investments, MREI, and Oakland REIA. Just introduce yourself to the people at the table!

@Linda Chov have not heard of them but you might find it valuable to post this in some of the local investing groups on Facebook as well and see if any members have done deals with them. If not, that may be telling as well.

@Amalfi Duran do you have a team with boots on the ground? Going by zip code is very risky. There are often $300k neighborhoods and $30k neighborhoods in the same zip code as is the case with 48206 for example. I can’t pull the report up on the mobile app but for a full rehab for a 1000 sqft home, look to pay about $35/sqft. Hope this helps!

@Jimmy Thomas are you a member of Metro Detroit Real Estate Investors on Facebook? If not, consider joining ASAP. You can ask for recommendations and search the group prior posts pertaining to what you’re looking for. Word of mouth is the best!

@Joe Wolf welcome! Come out to some of the local meet ups and reia meetings. Join the Facebook groups as well. You’ll network with other investors and likely do deals w/connections you’ve made. I went to a meet up on Monday and left with a connection with an investor looking to buy aggressively in the next few months. Networking works!
