Yea thats what I figured but man its so crazy down here man. All these contractors are so busy you practically have to beg them to come do the work for you. But from now on im going to see if they have a legit business or theyll be getting a 1099

I live in Odessa Tx where we have a housing crisis at the moment because of the oil boom. Which means tons and tons of people moving here for work.

Which means a lot of subcontractors, a lot of them do great work and are fairly priced but a lot of them will either work for cash or will provide a scratch pad receipt for the work that they do. Is there a way to get a better type of receipt that I can report at the end of the project. Will a T99 help with this, sorry for the dumb question but I want to make sure Im not going to get screwed. Thanks

Whats up Jon, yes I am going to be selling the house. Total money invested will be around $90k-$100k and going to list for $135k-$140k range. Its a country style home 1400 sq ft 3br 2bth on one acre tract out in the county. Im hoping on the next one I can keep the cost down since Ive been meeting more sub contractors
