Hello,

During the course of the lease the Tenant broke the kitchen Faucet. I sent him an email informing him that I was deducting the cost of the repair from his SD. He never responded to the email. I went ahead with the repairs. Now that the lease is over and I deducted the cost of these repairs he is fighting it in court saying I already paid for it. Who is in the right?

Hello,

About one week into my tenants lease he broke the sink. I went ahead and paid the maintenance and a new faucet on my own, but told him it was going to be deducted from the SD. Now that the lease is over tenant is saying I already paid for it and it's not a SD issue and is suing for the money back. Did I mess up here?
