Awesome brother! I live and invest in and around Tampa as well. Are you local, if so do you go to any of the Networking Meetups?

Quote from @Kalea Sanders:

Hello Folks! Jacksonville native here. I know it's a great market but simply don't want to live here anymore. My strategy for purchasing my first home is via house hack, and I've been struggling on narrowing down a new market to start my investing portfolio. I plan on investing in a multi-family home. Any suggestion on what markets I can narrow my search down too?

If you are going to be house hacking I would narrow your search by where you want to live not the market. Most of FL will be fine for a house hack, but if you mean that you don't want to live in Florida at all then figure out where you do want to live, research the markets in that state, and just confirm that the numbers work. When you invest in larger multifamily it doesn't matter where you live because you don't have to live where you invest. I live in and love Tampa, but focus on where you and your lifestyle would be best suited then find a 2-4 unit there hack it, rinse, and repeat. House hacking is so powerful that it will work in most places that there is a rental market.

I've lived in Wesley Chapel and I still live next door to WC in Land O Lakes. Also, I have or have had investments in surrounding areas such as Dade City, San Antonio, Zephyrhills, Land O Lakes, and Webster. Mostly 1-4 units, but this year I am looking to include multifamily. I would be glad to connect.

Hi @Jennifer S.

I'm in Tampa (Land O Lakes). I don't have any large MF yet, but I am moving that direction. I'm currently collecting SFH and Duplexes, but in 2023 there will be a shift in focus to 10 unit+ buildings. In preparation, my wife and I will be attending the Orlando Jake and Gino event coming up Nov 5-6th. Perhaps that would be a good networking event for you as well.

@Ryan Halford I'll see you in Orlando. I just signed up. I'll message you my cell. I'd love to connect with you and your wife while we're there.

 Awesome! We'll see you there!

I'm in Tampa and looking to team up for 16-100 unit apartment buildings... also interested in Luxury STR (i.e. high end beach properties).

I dont think im quite there yet. Ill hit you up in a few years 😉 Are you looking to do that in Tampa?

Yes, around Tampa (Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas Counties). Keep in mind if you have a few people with 100-300k each, taking down a $3M building is totally feasible. Either way, I still buy smaller projects too - just let me know. I could help you out with just being your boots on the ground here too, and I'll have my FL real estate license in December.
