Thanks Nick!

Learning the handy/diy trade at first was just to have a job but then developed into something I could do on my own properties. Getting into and keeping the right mindset has always been a challenge for me, won’t go into detail but it’s Hard for me.. looking forward to connecting with the right people And most importantly learning.

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan. I’m a handyman/painter by trade living in FW, TX. I’m not new to Bigger Pockets but I am new to the real estate game in some regards. I’ve tiptoed in it before by watching videos on YouTube, attended a couple of meet ups and even partnered up on an investment property. Unfortunately the last one didn’t work out because I wasn’t in the right mindset and had other things going on that I needed to step back and deal with. Thankfully the project still was able to get finished and looks amazing! (Not mentioning names but if you see this, congrats again)

I’ve always had a problem with the unknown, for some reason the anxiety of “not knowing” keeps me in the analysis paralysis stage. I’m determined to change that on or before my birthday which is about 5 months away.

I’ll be doing my best to document my journey here to show what I’m learning and how it’s going along with asking questions and trying to connect with others who have been where I am now.

If this plan (yet to actually write it down, will be writing it down later today) actually works I guarantee that it’ll be podcast worthy!

Can’t wait to see how far this goes and hope to learn from all of you.

After reading the thread I’m glad I’m not the only one who was wondering where the app went. Thanks for the info

@Adam Mitchell absolutely man, I’ll send you a message. I’ve been a contractor for the past 8 months and I’ve learned a lot that I can bring to the table so I’m working on ways to leverage my skills to gain knowledge and provide value to possible mentors and investors that can get me a leg up from where I am currently.

@Jonathan Greene already started on the podcasts and I’ll order the book on Amazon. My main sort of “problem?” Is that I’m moving cities in a month and idk if the connections I’d make here would help me once I move.

Never thought about leveraging my skills in order to help other REI's, that's smart! I appreciate the advice man!

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan and I’m currently living in Marshall, TX soon to be Cleburne, TX and I’m wanting to make a serious attempt at wholesaling.

What are some key tips and advice that you’d give someone who’s just starting out in the real estate game with ZERO experience in wholesaling.

Books, videos, personal advice.. I’m open to anything that build my education and help me understand everything better!
