Do... create a Wordpress based website
Do... create a mobile counterpart, or at least make your main website very mobile friendly
Do... run a blog on your site

Don't... host your site with the domain registrar (i.e. GoDaddy)

The WP plugin Login Lockdown is definitely a great addition to any WP-based blog. You should also check out the "Secure Wordpress" plugin.

2 other tips:
- change the "readme.html" file included with Wordpress to something different because it shows your current version of WP to would-be hackers
-check your "wp_login_fails" MySQL table via phpMyAdmin to see if people are trying to brute force their way into your site

Diana, creating content for the blog is no easy task - an even harder task is doing so for the next few years. If you're having trouble creating posts from scratch consider taking the curators position, finding and identifying great posts on a given investment concept/approach/etc.

Another idea is to frequent the Q&A websites looking for investment related questions, see if any of those spur some ideas.

The company I work with is using Norada Solve360 to manage all their flips. It's 100% online, but allows you to access it via your mobile phone as well. It also has a "template" feature, so adding repetitive tasks is extremely simple.

I ran across Podio the other day as well, still testing them out.

Sprout Social charges $9 per month.

Free is definitely cool, but free HootSuite is ... meh. I've been using SS and like it a lot, so I guess I've been looking past the $9/month.

Post: Drupal vs Wordpress

I was originally debating between Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress and ended up going the WP route for a few major reasons:

-huge, active community
-tons of free plugins & themes
-lots of paid plugins & themes
-the glut of information on WP

What are the benefits to using Drupal? I know WP suffers from a few things, inefficient MySQL queries, and is a hot target for spammers and hackers.

I equate it to iPhone vs. Droid vs. HTC debate - all provide awesome hardware, but iPhone wins in my mind because of the number of apps, and most companies build apps for iPhone before the other platforms.

Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress all provide great CMSs, but sometimes it's the intangibles that make the difference.

On my Mac I use software called Espionage, which allows me to lock & protect folders. Not sure of the comparable product for PCs. I would also consider setting something up where you're accessing confidential information from a secure, and remote server - this would require an internet connection to access any data though.

Other than that there are companies that provide "remote wipe" services, a quick Google search pulled up diskagent.com.

p.s. not affiliated with any of the above companies.

@RobTheHouseGuy1

-Actually there is an opt-out mechanism, all text-message campaigns are required by the cellular carriers to provide it, otherwise they're in violation of the carriers' TOSs.

Sometimes responding with "STOP" works, at least that's something of a standard in the text message world.

The company I work with uses a trifecta of Wufoo + Mailchimp + Solve360 CRM. We had looked into InfusionSoft, but the cost was prohibitive due to the number of agents. But InfusionSoft is very cool for their "smart email dripping" system. We can't quite mimic it with our trifecta, but then again it's not necessary.

Excellent list of resources, PostRank and AddThis look good, but he left out SproutSocial, a competitor of HootSuite.

p.s. I'm not affiliated with any of the above companies.
