@Leche Hopkins I only needed 3.5% down payment because I intend to live in one of the apartments for at least a year. Im inheriting a tenant who will pay more than half my mortgage. Pretty much, I’m paying a little over my taxes (which can be super expensive in NJ). Anything I can do to help, let me know!

@Andrew Ernesto hi Andy! I’m in Haddon Heights doing a semi-flip. Audubon Contractors is who I’m using to add closets to my duplex. Contractor is named Bill. He’s very knowledgeable of the area and reasonably priced!

I’m purchasing my first duplex and inheriting what appears to seem like reliable tenants. This couple has lived on the property for 8 years. They rent a 2/2 with Brand new kitchen and bath for $800 in Audubon, NJ. Apartment can be rented for 1k. Should I raise the rent? If so, is $900 too much?
