Welcome @Ross Trampler !  BP is a great place to learn and network with local investors!  I am relatively new and have been diving in head first in hopes of purchasing my first rental property in the Boston area by the end of the year.  I've heard some good things about Worcester and might need to dig into that market as well.

Welcome @Melven Saint-Paulin  ! I am also in the area and have been educating myself over the past few months.  I'm hoping to close my first deal by end of the year and am currently looking at various markets in both surrounding areas of Boston and out of state.  Are you looking to buy and hold rental properties?

Welcome to BP, @Arthur Picanco !  I am also in the Boston area looking to purchase my first property before the end of the year.  I have mostly been educating myself and becoming familiar with analysing deals and getting a feel for which niche market in Boston I'd like to start diving deep into.  What areas are you looking at?  And what type of property are you wanting?

Hi @Steve Bracero !  I agree that we'll have more leverage once fall / winter come in.  The only problem that might pop up is if the place is vacant.  You won't be getting as great of rent as you could get when locking in during the spring / summer months.  What areas are you looking at?

@Justin K. congratulations so far!  Are you cash flowing on the 5 unit building even while working on the last 2 units?  Have they been vacant since purchase?  Are you self-managing your properties or using a property manager?  30 by 30 sounds like a great goal to have!

@Nicholas Armstrong great thread!  I joined BP a few weeks ago and am currently crushing through books, podcasts, and forums to educate myself as quickly as possible.  Also, committing to analyzing at least 3 deals per day to get familiar with certain markets and become quicker with analyzing deals.  I'll be narrowing down my markets in the next few weeks and aim to close my first two deals before the end of the year!  Excited to be here with other sub 30 investors!

Welcome @Adam Wells !  I am also fairly new and have been reading up to learn as much as possible on buying / holding rental units in Boston.

Hi @Account Closed !  I am looking to invest in the Boston area as well, but am also looking at markets that are outside Boston and still considered "emerging."  I'd love to connect to hear how things have gone so far in Fall River!
