I found an awesome deal on a duplex and I really want to purchase it. It sounded easy in theory, but now that I’m actually about to buy my first rental property, I don’t know how to approach it. Both units are already rented out, so it’s making money already, and it was recently renovated. It’s located back in Louisiana where I’m from, but I live in Illinois. My dad is a general contractor and he’s going take a look at it for me on Friday. Can you guys provide me with any information I might need to be aware of? Tips, financing options, etc. Anything would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
