Hi @Ronald Rohde, if you're an accredited investor and you decide to 1031 exchange, you might consider reinvestment into DSTs. They are hands-off, institutional grade real estate investments, and they allow you the option to diversify.

You can buy into institutional grade $50-125M projects with as little as $100,000 and diversify. Professionals with decades of experience and very impressive track records do all the heavy lifting for you. You get potential cash flow, tax shelter and appreciation. Loans are non-recourse. This is the world of Delaware Statutory Trusts. I wrote a book on this that was released in January called Cashing In Tax Free. If this interests you, you can start to learn more at my website. Please let me know if I can help. Leslie

thanks not interested in such a passive, minority investment.

To be fair, that is also assuming there are no additional issues that require clarification from the other end. $300 covers about 30 minutes with one review...

Hi guys,

Longtime lurker and voracious reader here. My brother and I are currently selling a SFR which was rented for many years. 1031 exchange advice and looking for general advice on how to re-direct those proceeds in a very hot DFW market.

Thanks!

Ron
