Post: what kind of roof is this?

That is a gable roof with a three tab composition shingle which is the cheapest shingle on the market. There is nothing wrong with the shingle, it is just the most affordable option. For a few dollars more a bundle, you can get a dimensional laminate shingle which is basically two shingles laminated together that gives it a dimensional look and a 50 year shingle warranty. Roofs are measured in squares . A square is 100 sf. So if your roof is 1,200 sf then you have a 12 square roof. There are usually 3 bundles of shingles in a square so at $10 more a square ($3.33 per bundle) for material on a 12 square roof, you get a much better looking  product and warranty on the roof for $120 more.

Andrew Postell I would like to connect with you and go to the DFW REI meetings. I am an investor with just one property with good cash flow and am looking at options on the next one including private money. I didn't see the connect button when I looked at your profile so please connect with me.

Good to know. Thanks Andrew Postell

Great info@Dan Mahoney I think I will probably get the Chase card and a Home Depot card backed with my personal credit since I have personal stuff with Capital One so I don't have most my eggs in one basket. I am still waiting on my Dunns number and will try for the "5-3-2 rule" to build the business credit (5 net 30, 3 cc accounts, 2 paid loans). I understand that this is a good way to build business credit when shopping for business loans down the road.

Thanks y'all

John Anderson any other suggestions for building business credit. I've heard of getting the Dunns. Number then the 5-3-2 rule where you open five 30 day pay accounts with vendors that report to Dunns (which will generate the Experian), two credit cards and two loans (secured with cds) to build a base for credit to get loans with banks under the LLC.
