Hello I had Doug hirt do some work for me and he took my money and never finished, this is a scammer for sure. Should the DA be contacted?

I also am a victim of doug. I feel embrassed about giving him money upfront, my mistake. He took my money for remodel and didn't finish the windows and roof.  Can anyone recommend a good roofer?  Thanks
