Hello BP community, Can anyone recommend great RE agents that hold investment properties in the San Joaquin Valley? Parents hold a triplex, and a sfh in the Stockton area and would love to invest nearby as well to look after their properties. Looking to analyze multi-family properties to buy and hold that produce $150+ in cash flow. Thanks a million!

Thank you @Dylan Vargas, @Gene Mattos, @Mark Nolan, @David Goossens, @Enoch Conley for all the useful information! This definitely gives me a better scope of where to start my search.

Do any of you guys hold a real estate license? I have been contemplating whether or not to go for it. What is the best route. Taking an online course or going to a community college to take the courses? If so, which would you recommend that satisfy California requirements. Any pros and cons to doing this besides a couple hundred bucks and time for the course?

Hello BP community, New to BP and am looking for advice on any beginner investor friendly cities in California. I currently live in Santa Clara, Ca (Borders San Jose) and investing in my backyard seems out of reach. I dont mind looking into cities 2-3hrs away. Does anyone have any recommendations on nearby markets? I would love to start small under $200k price range with a duplex/tri if at all possible and start producing some cashflow to invest in other properties and grow my portfolio Also does anyone know of any REI meetups coming up in my area? I would love to attend as many as I can to learn from successful investors. Thanks a bunch!

@Abe Gonzales, Hello!

Thanks for the warm welcome! It is nice to be in touch with someone local. Would love to run into you at a local REI meetup and pick your brain.

How can I go about finding the dates and times for these meetings in our area? Any first steps you recommend me doing that you wish you knew when you were just starting? Any pointers are greatly appreciated!

Hi @Brett Snodgrass,

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I picked up a copy of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" as this was the book most seem to have read that inspired them to get involved in REI. I also picked up "Investing in Duplexes, Triplexes, and Quads" because this is what I wish to focus my education on.

I have just signed up for the webinar Aug 3rd as well. Looking to take advantage of everything this forum has to offer.

Hello BP community,

My name is Rob. 26 yrs old. I currently reside in Santa Clara, CA. Looking to connect with local investors in my area. Would love to become an apprentice to an investor in need of part time help. I am currently a commercial electrician apprentice for the Santa Clara County Union and have completed my residential apprenticeship. I have had the great opportunity to be a part of real estate through the building/trades hands on perspective. Am now looking to supplement my career by starting in REI, more specifically in the multifamily rentals area. I have been actively listening to the podcasts and picked up a few books to further educate myself. Parents own a few propeties in the central valley area and would love to follow in their footsteps. Feel free to offer suggestions on what I can do to make this "jump". Look forward to working with all of you. Thanks a bunch!
