Hey Folx, I just came across this thread and am hoping to get a little more insight from folx familiar with the area. A partner and I are considering the purchase of land for a series of tiny developments in JT. These will eventually be STRs. I'm a newbie looking to find specific information on permits/ordinances/builders in the area for this type of property, and have been contemplating THOW vs a static tiny house. Pros/cons on each option? Was this something you had considered before starting your design/build? I'd appreciate any words of wisdom available!

Hey Folx,

I am a recent graduate of NYU where I studied Education Policy. Now that I have shifted my focus to learning about REI, I am debating an every day job change from my current role as an Office Manager. What jobs would you recommend to someone just entering the labor force who is looking to be in real estate long term? Since I am just 23, and have an inherited IRA for reserves/down payment, I am thinking that I might have enough safety on my side to make the career change while I'm young - but to what? Appraising? Inspecting? What would help me the most down the line?

My boyfriend is also looking to get into REI and we want to complement each other's roles. I have the math leaning brain and he has the more creative leaning brain. Thoughts?

Hello Everyone! I am a recent NYU graduate who in typical college grad fashion now wants to pursue interest in an industry outside the realm of my degree's expertise (Media & Education). While in quarantine, I found the BiggerPockets podcast and community, and have just started reading Brandon Turner's Book on Rental Property Investing - now, I'm hooked! Although I am planning to continue working within Education as well, it has become glaringly clear to me that rental property investing may be the best tool/skill around that can help me achieve financial freedom. And I can achieve it even faster if I start now!

I'm eager to learn, extremely critical and optimistic in nature, and have administrative/customer service skills that can be of service to anyone. Right now I'm in the baby stages of my real estate investing journey and am in need of some kind advice to guide me through the weeds. I'm excited to meet everyone here and look forward to connecting soon!
