Biggerpockets fam,

I want to create a series LLC to buy property in Reno NV. My intent is to buy one property in NV and more in a different state.

However, I'm curious if it would be better to just create a regular LLC or series LLC?

Thanks for any guidance or tips.

Biggerpockets family,

Good evening. I'm looking to form a series LLC to purchase property in Reno NV. That being said, will/can banks provide a business loan or will I have to go through the normal process of getting a mortgage?

Thanks for any guidance, I'm new to this and I'm hoping this question makes sense.

Quote from @Ben Einspahr:

@Robert Washington Jeff White is an amazing resourse to connect with. However buying land and building in Colorado can be very difficult. Buying land is a different type of animal aside from just the purchase. Working with the city to ensure proper zoning, land use, any mineral/water rights ect to name a few.

Where it gets expensive is tapping for water and running sewer. This is one reason why development for new homes is limited because developers aren’t able to make good enough margins because of this expense. It is worth doing your due diligence on.

A great spot for looking to purchase rentals a few hours outside of Denver is Pueblo. Jeff White and I have seen a good amount of successful investment purchases, even in todays current market conditions.

 Would love to connect Ben.

The $3K is from improvements on the house. With a VA loan you don't need to put any money down.

The plan is to 1031 for more rental properties or buy land within an hour from Denver and build a house.

I see you're a realtor in Denver. Let's stay connected, maybe we can do business in the future!

I did not and I wish I did. Lessons learned I suppose!

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $192,000
Cash invested: $10,000

My second property was purchased in the sunshine state! Bought this single family in a prime location in the San Jose area, centered in the heart of shopping centers. Added over $10K to the house to include new paint, flooring, A/C unit and etc...

Bought for $192K at 3.75% interest rate in 2017. Refinance the mortgage to 2.25%.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Interest rates were low so I figured why not buy more real estate.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I used a RE agent. Wasn't much negotiation.

How did you finance this deal?

VA loan 0% down.

How did you add value to the deal?

Added over $10K to the house to include new paint, flooring, A/C unit and etc...

What was the outcome?

I have a renter in the property
