Hi all.  I am looking at a property in New York state.  Several years ago it shows it was purchased for a certain amount of money.  Then a Federal Credit Union purchased it for $1.  Now it is showing it is for sale for over $200,000.  which is about 15 times the purchase several years ago.  It shows a realtor/broker to contact, who I am sure is going to want $200000 for the property.  Does one only communicate with the advertised broker or does one contact the financial institution directly?  Looking for pointers. This would be a first here.  Thanks!

Sounds to me the seller is playing games..... Not serious or possibly poor business practices.
How many of you have video surveillance covering the outside of your property? At least covering the main entrance to the house/building?

I would ask myself...... what is it about real estate investing that interests me so much?  Is it construction, design, people, math, money, taxes, law?  Once I answered that question, I would look for a major which agrees with that.  Good luck!

Hi everyone! Does anyone have a recommendation for a heating/ac oil burning furnace company? Not sure if it needs to be replaced. Thanks! Rob

What can you tell me about living in Reno?  Looking for a temp. residence (friend just moved there).  Any particular areas, streets, neighborhoods, apartments, rentals which would be wise to stay away (relating to personal safety)?  I know this is not easy to answer but any info would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

Buildium has a free trial of some sort. Looks very easy to determine cost for the product. See here https://www.buildium.com/pricing/

Good day all!  This is my 'second venture' into BP.  My first was 'an awareness of BP'.  I took classes from a real estate 'university', was ready for a real estate test in NY but ended up moving out of state.  Some things have changed and I am back.  Honestly, the money part holds me back.  Hoping to continue reading resources here, reading others' experiences and jumping in the pool, sort of speak.  I am in Northern Va.
