Thinking about renting my house. It's worth about 300k and I just replaced the roof and had it painted. The monthly payment is 1500 and rent is around 2k. This would be my first. I have about 50k equity. Not sure if I should rent or sale.

Does anyone know how many units you can have as a live in Landlord and still get primary residence financing in South Carolina and North Carolina?

Hi Steve,
Rock Hill is growing. We still have the paintball field and now we have a Veladrome with a 2.5 million BMX training track on the way! Great place to live and work!

Thank you all for the information. This site is excellent. I have found more information in the last week than I have in the last year. Great job Bigger Pockets!

Thanks for the info Bredan. I work 2nd shift right now but I'll be moving to 3rd soon so maybe I'll check out some of the investment groups then.

I have read the Beginners Guide and listened to a few podcast. I'm not sure if I should just put up some info at work, try to find a good deal and learn as I go. I know any mistakes could be costly!

I wanted to say hello to all! I'm from the Rock Hill, SC / Charlotte, NC area and new to investing. I'm not really sure where to start but but I have a goal of trying to make 5k by the end of the year. I work at a large company in Gastonia, NC with 1200 employees so I'm thinking I should try and wholesale a deal from the leads I might be able to generate there. I know of one flip investor in the Gastonia area but none in the Rock Hill area. Any info or contacts in the area would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to all in your new found freedom!
