Hello folks,

We are looking to take legal action against an HOA in Jersey City for water damages to our condo. Would anybody have any recommendations for attorneys that take on these kinds of cases?

Thanks in advance!

With so much interest in Newark from people who haven't bothered to even visit the city, I'm not surprised they're asking for that much for that property on Fabyan Pl. It'll be interesting to see how long it sits on the market and how much it actually sells for.

If you can finish the job and honor the reservations, do it! It's a shame you used your new listing boost before you were ready. When you're new, you appear on the first page, which means more views and more reservations. The moment you start canceling bookings, they begin to drop your listing further and further back. Depending on how many listings there are in your area, who knows the kind of bookings you'll get when you have no reviews and your listing appears on page 10+.

Josh Malenfant then, do as Tim Chapman suggested. There is no need to try to fudge numbers or strong arm the other heirs out of anything for you and your partner to make the most out of this. Have smart rehab and exit plans, and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! Patrick Liska After 2 years of hearing the upstairs neighbor snore every night, we did exactly what you described in part of the Jersey City condo where we used to live (plus some Green Glue). It made a huge difference, but it was not a simple project. I'm trying to avoid doing that with this unit, but there may not be a way around it.

Hi! We are trying to reduce sound transmission between our ground floor and the second unit apartment, both of which are completely finished. I'm taking both, transmission and impact sound. We've been considering drop ceilings but we only have 1.5-2" to spare before we drop below the minimum allowed ceiling height. While looking at our options, acoustical ceiling tile adhesive came up, which sounds like a perfect solution... if it works. We currently have finished ceilings, so we'd be mounting/ glueing the ceiling tiles right on the drywall. We also have Green Glue left from another job, and while that is not properly adhesive, it could add a little towards decoupling and hopefully sound reduction. Anybody with experience with this kind of application care to comment? Is this potential solution as much wishful thinking on my part as I think it is? Any other recommendations?

Of course, you want to minimize payout to the other heirs, in this case the churches... if it not were for the minor moral/ethical issue of respecting the diseased person's will. Can you come up with something to get away with this? Probably. Will it speak volumes about the way you do business? It already does. Isn't there an executor mentioned in the will?
We'll, it's definitely a liability for you. If anybody slips and falls, they are going to go for the owner of the house, not the renter. If I were you, I'd buy a sack of salt, leave at the property, and, once you've removed the snow, ask your tenant to salt as needed.
