@Dwight Sands how did your inspection go? Did you go with the company Matt recommended? I am looking to invest in the Detroit area as well and it would be my first investment. I am trying to connect to third party inspectors as well. RJ

@Jeffrey Holst thanks for sharing. I am a newbie investor trying to get my first rental property and through Real Wealth Network I was able to connect to a company called Strategy Properties. Do you have contacts for reliable third party inspectors? If I movr forward and get a property through them they provide the inspector but being a first time investor and being an out of state investor I would like an opinion outside their network. RJ

Has anybody felt they ran into a set back after learning about having the need to have 6 months of reserves required by banks? I am a newbie investor looking for my first investment in the next few months and have enough for the down and closing costs but a couple weeks ago I started talking to lenders and learned I need to have 6 months of reserves based on a percentage on the loan on top of the out of pocket expenses. Was wondering what people have done when they ran into this? Is saving more and waiting the only option I have right now? Hope this concern is a valid one to ask about in this forum. Thanks.

I am an American citizen that was raised in the Philippines and I can only say be very careful on who you deal with. That nanny of my daughter bought a property there and according to her it is fully paid but until now she does not have the title. I do not know her situation in full detail but I would not invest in the Philippines right now and all the land reform laws there. The government can just take you land and give to the people. But once again it is a country infused with meth and governed by corruption.

Hi Everyone,

Trying to get my first investment for my family's future and I am debating myself. I have a fulltime job in which I spend on average 10 hours in the office and want to invest in out out state turnkey properties and part of me want to understand the game closer by saving a little more and investing in a fix and flip locally here in Southern California. Really love to hear what the community thinks.

@Brent Coombs thanks for responding. Decided not to go with the program but started joining local REI meet ups today and did RSVP on a few already. Really excited to meet local experts and pick their brain. Really hoping to get bloated with knowledge and wisdom.
