I live in north GA and have been in and out of real estate investing for almost 20 years. Currently have rental properties in north GA, western NC and am developing a portfolio in Macon. Looking forward to attending on the 26th and getting to know the local group

@Tyler Hardy  - Thanks for the response.  I've been in and out of real estate investing for over 20 years but getting more serious about it lately.  I'm building a small portfolio in the Macon area and always willing to talk shop.  I'll PM you my contact info - let's get together sometime.

I've been investing in the Macon, GA for awhile and while my local community bank in north GA has been very helpful, they feel like middle GA is outside of their regional customer base.  I'm looking at establishing a banking relationship with a bank or credit union in the Macon area.  I would like to know if other BP members have any referrals and/or contacts.  Please respond here or send me a private message.  Much appreciated.

@Johnathan Pannes I’m currently working with a local independent agent - hopefully I’ll get some traction there. Thanks.

@Marci Stein they mentioned age in their response, however, I’m sure it was more related to the exterior. Thanks.

I recently purchased an older home in Western NC. The home needs repairs primary exterior siding, fascia boards and trim. The interior is in very good shape considering it was built in 1930. The insurance company I’ve used on other rentals declined coverage due to the age and condition of this property. My goal is to make the needed repairs over the next three months, however, I need coverage now.

Anyone familiar with a carrier that offers landlord’s insurance along with liability coverage for older homes and is licensed in NC ? Thanks.

Private money lenders usually want two things:  a deed of trust (mortgage) on the property and a promissory note with a personal guarantee.  In doing this, their money is secured by both a hard asset and a personal guarantee.

Good luck with your BRRRR investment.
