how do you guys feel about properties just outside of the Ruskin Heights area? For example, the Hickman mills south, just north of 107th?

Thanks for your replies.

@Jason Bott, does having an insurance program vs an insurance company differ significantly?

How does the claims process differ between the two?

Does this mean I’m considered a additional insured on their blanket insurance program ?

After reviewing their coverage/rates, I’ve found it to be really good and inclined to proceed, but as always, you get what you pay for and it’s a bit of a concern to me.

Hey Biggerpockets!

I am looking for a new insurance provider and stumbled upon RealProtect, a division of Norton insurance, and the rates/coverage is pretty darn good! I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them?

I was unable to find any reviews on bigger pockets or online, which is a bit concern for me, but i figured they were just a smaller subsidy.

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

@Eddie VanBuskirk thanks for your thoughts ! I actually dropped out of the deal. I made a lot of phone calls and had done some due dilligence but in the end, seeing the crime pattern/someone getting sodomized and murdered a block away didn't give me too much reassurance of a good investment.

I am also looking into 3908 e. 72nd street. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on that property? Thanks.

Hey all,

I am in contract to purchase two properties in Kansas City MO.  I am trying to do my due diligence in regards to finding out the crime stats/risk in a specific area and would appreciate some feedback from locals!

The address is on Lydia Avenue, KC MO 64131..

I've used crime maps, call multiple property management companies and inspection companies, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get more input.

Thanks for any feedback!

Hey all! I am looking for insurance for two properties in Kansas City MO. I have looked into REI guard, but didn't think it was enough coverage. Does anyone have a recommended agent/company?
