Hi guys,

My wife and I are the new owners of a 5-plex in Kenosha, and we’re looking for a property manager or management company to partner with and rehab this place to make it a long-term winner.  The rehab process has begun already, but we need help managing the property and the rehab process.  Any suggestions or volunteers?  Thanks in advance.

Rick

Hi there,

My wife recently completed getting her real estate license and is ready to take the next steps to become an agent. However, she's not interested in being an agent in the traditional sense. She doesn't want to work for one of the large firms at all (i.e. John L Scott, Windermere, Coldwell Banker, etc.), as a matter of fact. What she'd like to do with her license is to be able to access the MLS database and to identify opportunities for investment, both for flips, and potentially rentals in the future.

Can someone please advise as to how she should proceed?  Can she be a solo agent, and if so, how?  Or does she need to work under someone else?  We'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,

Rick

Welcome to BP, @Julie Clark! I'm a relatively new RE investor, and new to the BP community as well. It's great to see more Wholesalers here, and coincidentally that's exactly what I'm looking for. Would love to connect!

It definitely sounds like doing some old-fashioned networking would be a great idea.  I'll definitely add that to the plan, thanks!

Thanks Jassem, that's a good tip, and I'd love to connect with wholesalers that do exactly this kind of marketing.

The challenge for me is that I don't live in the neighborhoods in which I'm interested in buying and rehabbing homes, and so I don't get these notices.

My wife and I just recently finalized our first project - a duplex rehab that we found through foreclosure - and we now have two doors rented out and cash-flowing!  It's a great thing, especially long-term, but in the short-term, this deal took up a bunch of our cash reserves so we're on the lookout for flip opportunities.

Which leads to my question - how do I go about finding Wholesalers in my neck of the woods (the Seattle / Puget Sound area)?
