Post: Real Estate License School Online

Hello!

I am interested in getting into Real Estate to learn how it works and for one day to be my own boss. I have always thought about taking the first step but never attempted. So finally I am ready to take that first step to obtain a license for real estate.

I was wondering for any feedback on the site Real Estate Express for the online course. Does anyone have any experience or honest reviews? Any information would be a great amount of help.

I am located in New York, I believe they do offer courses in my state.

Thanks everyone!

Hello Everyone!

I am individual who is seeking for help on where I can go to meet professionals from all areas of Real Estate in Long Island.

My goal is to one day go into Rehab and Resell properties, and I wish to see what and how I can start. I know it will be a challenge, but I am eager to make a change in my life and can't wait to get any advice.

Thank you for any help that everyone in this community can give. Hopefully, one day I can help someone in the future that will be in my position.

Post: Investing in Lower Income Locations

Hello!

So I would like to ask for some advice in the thought and or experience on those who have invested in lower income property.

For starters, I am a new investor, and where I live on Long Island homes are pricey and taxes are high. However, there are a few locations that homes run about in the 200K range and taxes are not as high. I have no big intentions to get a run down location to flip, but a location that will need a touch up here and there and to hold on to for rental.

I am familiar with the locations I have in mind. School district, closeness to transportation, crime rate, etc. I just would like some experience investors or anyone who has dealt with this situation before.

Thank you all for any feedback.

@Chris Puckett thank you. My father owns a property in Huntersville NC. I was kind of thinking in that area or a little south. I am thinking more of a buy and hold.

Sid Leibowitz Long Island is definitely expensive for a starter like me. I was thinking maybe upstate or North Carolina like Charlotte...

Brand new and just getting a ton of information to start out in real estate. I was wondering if there are any REI groups on Long Island and if so, what day do they meet and who can I talk to.

Hello Everyone!

I am a new member to BiggerPockets. I'm pretty much like everyone on here who got tired of the regular 9 to 5 job and dreamed of bigger and better realities.

I'm pretty much looking for advice on how someone like myself with no experience can take my first step into working hard for success and learning anything that I can. I know it is not a straight road, but if anyone can suggest on even how I can start is a positive step in my book.

Thank you all for your help. I hope to one day be in your shoes as a success.

Ricky
