Thanks for the encouragement. I am trying to move passed the fears. One thing I am concerned with mostly is where to look locally. I am not originally from here so I don't have the built in radar. There are good neighborhoods where prices are high and the market is hot so the properties move quickly and on the flip side, properties that need a lot of work. The few deals I've analyzed don't seem to work unless the purchase price is considerably lower than asking. I set up an MLS feed with a realtor but nothing has shown up. I check on realtor.com and Zillow but again a lot of properties in undesirable locations.

Hello BP Community! I am just starting my journey to purchase my first rental property in SE Wisconsin. I am looking for someone to connect with who can help me navigate fears of buying the first property. My goal is to earn enough money to cover my monthly expenses to start. I don't have a background in real estate but have been heavy into reading and learning more. I need help with finding a 'good deal, analyzing the deal, and basically any pitfalls I may come across. Any advice is welcome!
