I am also very new to REI and found it surprising that the advice kurt davis gave is that you need money to gain knowledge. This site is a wealth of information with lots of very wise people. It seems to me, this is a great place to find a mentor

Hello BP community, in RDPD, Robert talks about a strategy where he purchased a property and instead of leasing it, he advertised it as a FSBO with no money down but did make them have an escrow account. He talked about benefits of not having to deal with typical landlord issues, not having to recognize capital gains(sale price was more than what he paid for it) and it created a positive cash flow. Has anyone ever heard of this strategy? Ever used it? What would be some unforseen pros and cons?

Hello BP community, my name is sergio berumen and i live in dallas. Go Cowboys! I have been doing a lot of reading on these forums and have learned a great deal. I am very anxious and at the same time excited to get started. After reading a lot of responses, I have decided to start with wholesaling since credit and cash are not available at the moment. My background is in sales management and feel this will be a natural fit for me. The constant thing I have been hearing from this very wise BP community, is get educated. In podcast 71, Phillip Vincent talked about joining a company or team that is already establish as a way to learn the business. Does anybody recommend a reputable company or individual in the Dallas area that would be willing to work with a hard working and talented sales professional?
