Thanks for your reply. The listing agent was not too sharp... gave bad info and was not timely with responses... and my agent says there's no way to find out which bank is involved.
It's in Vegas and the market climate is a mess. I've made over a dozen offers on short sales and get little or no solid info on time frames. I'm a new investor and am pre-approved by 3 major banks but it seems the banks don't want to move even on offers over list.

I recently made an at-market offer on a short sale property and the property went into foreclosure. My RE agent tells me there's nothing to do now but wait until the property comes back on the market as an REO. Is there any way to get to the bank directly and negotiate a deal? Thanks.
