So we hired a CPA for the 1st time to do our 2022 taxes.

After they completed our taxes, we wanted to see if a cost seg would be beneficial. But to even start the conversation they wanted to charge us for the time. Is this normal?

Also, its June and they haven't reached out once to see how we are doing.

Being pretty new to this, we have plenty of questions and in need of guidance.

I guess we want to find a CPA that we can work with long term and help us create a plan.

Any recommendations? We're based in Oklahoma.

Are there any specific questions we should be asking during our first contact?

Many thanks.

Hey everyone.

Our Airbnb came with a Vivint Security System(door sensor, smart deadbolts, window sensors on all windows, video doorbell, camera in back and a few other things).  It's $50 a month for the monitoring.

How much Security do you guys have in your houses?

If I switch to something like ring, and just have a camera on the outside and a video doorbell. It ends up being $10 a month and would have the equipment paid for within a year.

The main things I look for are foundation issues, water damage, termite.

Another thing is big trees surrounding the property.

Hey everyone,

Apart from Furnish Finder, where are you guys posting your Mid-term Rentals?

We have a place almost completed, 5 mins away from a major Hospital.

Thanks

Thank you @Julio Gonzalez.

@Rhett Tullis, I'm hoping to build up a portfolio of homes that will help me retire a little earlier and reduce the hours that I'm trading my time for money so I can spend more time with the family. Also leave behind something that I can pass down to my kids in knowledge and assets.

If I can free up time to help others along the way, thats a big plus.

Hey Everyone,

Long time listener, first time in the forums. Not sure why it took me so long to join, but I'm here now.

A little bit about me,

I'm currently a full time photographer originally from Australia but now based out of Oklahoma, you can see some of my work here:
I also do a lot of digital marketing(specializing in Email Marketing and Customer Journeys) and graphic design on the side.

I've been really getting into real estate over the last couple years with a few rentals and about to open our first Airbnb, hopefully start of June.

I really want to dive straight in and see where this takes me. I've been soaking up as much information as I can over the last couple months to try and grow.

If anyone has any words of advise for a white belt in real estate, I would love to learn.
and yes Mr Greene I love Ju Jitsu as well!

Also, if anyone ever needs any advise or help in what I do, I'm here to help.

Nice to meet you all
Ren
