@Scott Carson: Thank you for the referrals. I will definitely look them up and reach out to them, and let them know you referred them.  Good stuff.

Hi, BP investors...

I was wondering if any of you have purchased properties in Southwest Atlanta near Lee Street, White Street, and/or South Ashby Street.  I have been in other locations in SW Atl, but not familiar with these streets, and would like to know what your experience have been with investing in those particular areas.  Thanks!

@Anthony Hill : I agree with you, those ads are just bogus. If you can try going to a REI meeting where investors hang out and maybe you can find someone to mentor you from there. Also, you can start a forum here on BP letting seasoned investors know you are looking for a mentor. But, there are some wolves in sheep clothing that will try to manipulate you, and play you for a fool. Don't get me wrong BP is a great place to start-out, but there is so many people on here that increases your chance in running into the non-legit ones. I speak from experience, I met someone who was willing to mentor me and he turned out to be one of those.

Good Luck!

@Sarah S. : I was reading this forum and I want to up-lift you for being a genuin good-hearted person who reaches out to people and try to help them. Even though that guy or even some on here who have read your post may be viewing you as a "sucker" does not mean that you are a "sucker" for being kind hearted and want to help someone..people are just too stupid to recognize a blessing because its so rare these days for people to put a total stranger before themselves.

By the way, people are being scammed this very minute by people stealing money right out of their pockets right in front of their eyes; your situation was just dealing with a homeless person who needed someone to help him. So, giving him a month extended stay was an excellent way to rectify the your issue, in my opinion. Hope you see my point.

@Andrea Graybill : I should have read all the posts before I replied the first time...but, I am glad you tried to get your money back. Also, I do not know what they are talking about giving 500k. At the seminar I attended (as mentioned above), they told us that they can provide "proof of funds" to a seller for a wholesale or flipping deals, but of course you have to pay 2k to get access to their information. They are not going to actually give you the money.

@Andrea Graybill : I went to one of Scott Yancey's seminars 4 months ago, and they are all the same...they want your money. After 3 hours of pumping us up, they crushed most of us by saying, in order to get all this information to get started you have to pay 2k for a 3 day workshop. Of course, they advertise that they will give you all these secrets at the free seminar; they even advertised freebies like digital cameras at the door....but, as the old saying goes "nothing is for free". Needless to say, I ran out of there so fast...but, at least I got a free sandwich, apple, chips, and drink...lol.

Do not do it...do not pay for resources and education in this field; get your money back if you can...BP is the way to go as a guide. There are seasoned investors here who are more than willing to answer questions. Also, I find the blogs to be very helpful as well.

@J Scott....thank you for the recap. I did follow your link from another forum, and from reading this valuable information, I concluded I need to run things by my investor to come to some agreement on modifications that will need to be made for this contract. From the information you gave on how to determine if I will be an active employee or contractor; I think I fall into the employee category (as you stated I probably would).

Thanks again, and I must say that BP is awesome (Legit!)

@Tom Keith....Thanks for the reply. I did find the contracts, and I also ran into a forum that addresses the same question. According to a reply in that forum that I read from J. Scott, I will need to get with my investor to determine what exactly we need to go into this agreement.

Thanks again for leading me in the right direction.
