I use Lumbee Guarantee Bank in Raeford NC, for my flips, I work with Allen Davidson at that bank. I believe they have something for BRRRRs

Since your kids are not school age yet. I would focus on making your commute to work as short as possible. Also how long do you see yourself renting? If this is a temporary stop gap situation to learn the area before purchasing a home, then again just focus on shortening your daily commute. Knightdale is a good growing area. I have a 2 year old and a 5month old. Having family and your support system nearby can be a huge value add. Like you are realizing, the triangle as plenty of options you cant go wrong if you are renting and dont have school age kids.
