@Minna Reid

The house was listed at 299,999.

I did submit documents and estimates to justify the offer price.

Hi @Laura Da Silva !

I think the real estate market here is going to stay because of of a couple of reasons

1. Those coming from New York will keep prices at a threshold higher than the norm

2. The interest rates being so low it is allowing the buyers to push the prices past a normalcy.

@Danielle S.

BiggerPockets has landlord forms. Talk to another landlord that also rents in the same area and see if he/she is willing to share their lease. I would have a lawyer also look over it to protect you

@Michael Peralta

I am all for housing hacking so in light of this I would wait. Find the best desk that fits for you and secure it. Don’t rush and let things flow.

@Shain Ismailovski

I believe this was implemented for two reasons.

Primarily to allow landlord to receive some cash flow from their clients.

Secondly to help tenants survive this pandamic that is affecting everyone landlords and tenants alike.

I do think there was another way to satisfy both landlords and tenants But Murphy is Murphy.

I think this will explode at the small claims court for landlord to reep their losses when a tenant leaves. No matter how wonderful the tenant is the apartment will need some cosmetic work. Therefore landlord will be left footing a bill and lowering profit because of this.
