If I were to partner with someone on a two flat, We both want to live in a unit, renovate the basement to rent it out; it also comes with a lot next door that we want to make to another 2 flat on. Could one of us get fha and go 50/50 on everything? Or whats the best way to handle the situation?

my 740 credit score just went down to 680 because I was previously with T-Mobile with a friend, in my name and I left T-Mobile after paying everything in my name, my friend left too but he didn’t pay the phone now I have $600 in collections and the one derogatory Mark. what’s the best way to handle the situation. Thank you. I did dispute it with credit karma and my friend said he’s doing things on his end to Take responsibility. Also, how will this affect my credit score if everything goes good ?

I’m making two years at my job in July but my 2021 w2 is about a half year, my 2022 w2 is the full year and obviously 2023 would be half done. How would they look at it? The past 2 years? so only 2021 and 2022?and if so that would mean might as well wait for the 2023 w2 to finish. Or they’ll do the half of 21 with the half of 23 and add it with the full 22’s w2 to make it the two years ? (There is a gap in 21, before starting this job; that’s why it’s only half a year).

Hope this makes sense and thank you in advance!

Quote from @Aaron Zimmerman:

@Rayjunior Nunez - definitely good to build a relationship with a CPA. My recommendation to you is to hold off on getting a CPA for a little bit as the fees may not be justified for your situation. I would instead recommend going to meetups and networking with CPAs as well as reading tax content. Several tax professionals have written articles/blogs as well as have podcasts. Once you buy a property, I'd recommend touching base immediately after closing your property.

I’ll take that into consideration thank you so much!

You are one good deal away from real estate investing. Money should never be the issue.

Definitely looking, thank you for the motivation.
