Meet us out for another evening of networking and sharing knowledge of the beautiful thing called Real Estate.  Jay Shaw with Jay Shaw Realty will be hosing the event at his office location in Pearland, TX.  Jay has brought wonderful insight to the group with his background in residential and commercial real estate investing.  We will have guest speakers to help navigate ways to find and fund deals in todays market.  New and seasoned investors alike are welcome.  We also invite realtors, contractors, and other trades that can bring value to the group.  We look forward to seeing you there.

It's that time again! Come one, come all.  Bring friends and lets enjoy some refreshments and the outside air.  

We will be set up outside at one of the many picnic benches ready to talk real estate.  We will do some introductions in the beginning and allow time for people to get comfortable and then dive into this month's topic - "Are there deals to be found?"  As a group we will walk through the steps of finding and evaluating properties to meet you real estate goals.  We will jump online and pick real time properties to evaluate and see what we can find and uncover in todays market.

There is no real formula for this process, but there are some key factors, information, and terms you should be familiar with to quickly evaluate a property and see if its even worth your time for a deeper dive. Bring your investigative hats and help us with the things you have learned and the techniques that have helped you in past deals.

This is why we meet....to help others and network as a team to expand our experience base across multiple disciplines.  "Your network is your net worth!"

It happened. Great turn out with some even better information. We will be scheduling a November meet up shortly. 

Just a quick reminder. Rain should pass quickly this morning and leave a sunny afternoon. Join us at Bakfish Brewery at 630pm for a guest speaker talking about what it means to be an investor friendly agent. Hang out for a bit, get some questions answers, and head home to watch the Astros tie up the series.

I am renting a house that has a detached efficiency apartment in the back.  At first, the tenants in the house were using the apartment for their daughter.  She moved out, and they sublet it to someone else.  I did authorize a sublease in the main lease, but only with my written consent.  I never gave written consent, and no formal sublease was ever established.  

Now, the main house caught fire and fire department removed the main electrical meter until house is repaired and inspected.  The cause was an accidental electrical fire.  The electric supplies the house and apartment.  The main tenants are moving out, but the people in the back apartment refuse to leave.  I will be cutting off all services to the property to make repairs that will take atleast 6 months.  I understand the normal eviction process, but what other means do I have to get the squatters out?  I have researched a sample "Notice to vacate due to non livable conditions", but have not found anything.  Any help would be appreciated.  Property is located in Pearland, TX.
