it wouldn't hurt, I recently got my realtors license for similar reasons. I was able to be my own agent when I bought my primary home. I was able to see the house the same day it came on the market and also had the offer submitted the same day. It paid for itself that day, not to mention Its been a good learning experience.

bigger pockets community,

Any recommendations for a local lending attorney ( or possibly a real estate attorney) in the twin cities area? I realize evaluating deals and lending money are two different things and would like any advice on the subject . The property is owned free and clear and I would be lending the money for rehab .

Thank you in advance

bigger pockets community,

Ive been a member for a while now but have never really introduced myself. So here we go.. I am from St. Paul, Minnesota and recently graduated from Augsburg college where I studied business management and finance. I have always had a entrepreneurial mentality and probably wouldn't have chose the college route if it wasn't for wrestling. In which I placed 7th in the country earning all American honors. I say this because it took much dedication and perseverance, as does real estate investing. I joined bigger pockets to learn from others and to network. I would like to meet others who have big goals and take action!

@Matthew Hanrahan I would highly recommend mn school of realty Roseville if you decide to take the course. I recently did the same thing for similar purposes. I also am going with a small broker this week where I can hang my license with no monthly fees
