Hi @Ned Carey - Thanks for the warm welcome, I tend to get that a lot. Even at this age, I wanted to start two years ago but decided to do other things which I halfway regret. All it took was a book for me to understand RDPD. See ya around!

Hi @Yoao Oaxaca  - Good to hear from another local. On Tuesday, I went to my first local Real estate meet up that I didn't have to drive 70 miles one way to get to. It was in Modesto and I can give you information via PM, if interested in the next one. It wasn't pitchy either like many out there. I look forward to networking with you.

I am finally introducing myself after being in the background for so long [about 6 months]! I'm a new investor from the Central Valley in California. I plan to start direct marketing to absentee owners in the next few weeks. My goal is to buy two properties this year in 2015, one, being a primary residence and one investment out of state. All while finishing up my last semester, which I'm extremely ready to be done with school.

Never been to a website so many times during a day except Facebook. Bigger pockets is such a great resource to have! I've listened to many podcast, read J Scott's awesome book as well as read countless informative forum post. So I think I'm long overdue to get started.
