Hi Greg, thank you for your response.  quote includes the followings.  (I guess snow / water shield  not included)

- remove old shingles install new felt
- delete mushrooms vents install ridge vent

- install new weather wood shingle 3 tap new boot pipes
- reflash
- landfill charge

I am looking for information on the typical cost of replacing a roof for a 1,350 square foot, single-story SFH in Alabama. I received a quote for $6,300 for a wood shingle 3-tab roof. Is this a reasonable price?

Yes I got my deposit back. 

I got a home-warranty quote for one of my rental property.  $1875 for 6 years with VIP membership(can use my own contractor), covers all the appliances/roof and transferrable.  But I have to pay upfront $1875 where as one year is $499.  Is this good deal ? 

here is my update on my Doorvest 1 month experience, out of 9 properties sent in my queue, I about to reserve the one I liked but its gone in 30 mins, meaning it was reserved by someone else.  And at last I learnt it's first to reserve. I can understand and can't blame them,  Since I have a day job atleast I need 1 hour to take decision.  Unfortunately it will not work out for me,  so asked for my deposit refund. 

@Jacky Lei I signed up with $1000 at Doorvest and provided my preferences. Look like their acquisition team is finding properties for me to reserve.

Yes only Houston area.  Exploring rootstock too. 

I just signed up and waiting for the next step. How about you, have you proceed further ?
