@James Carlson oh wow! That’s good information. Thank you for that. Yeah the one duplex is in Fort Collins but I’d just use that for rental as opposed to Air. I’m wondering how lucrative it is and also are lending rules different because I think that’ll be considers multi family.

I notice you are in Lakeland which I know people in that area. I actually was thinking about a home in Kissimmee near Disney. I was thinking to rent out for vacation rental but like you said that’s a lot of moving parts and I want to make sure I really can do it. Do you think I could do some creative financing or hard money through investing bank for a property investment like this, being I have no properties under my belt?

I’m just thinking of ideas outside of taking equity form my current home. I want to know the best way to go about this and take action. I’ve been sitting on the fence way to long. You have given some really good thorough tips and I’m so grateful!

Hello BP community. I’m at the point where I’m really want to take action on getting my first investment property.

We have quite a bit of equity in our residential property so we were thinking about refinancing and using the cash out for another property. How should we go about this?

Also I looked for different properties but in my market (CO) it is challenging. I did see a duplex in the northern part of the state.

I also was considering my birth state (Florida), getting a house and doing Air or rental. Any good suggestions on which may pan out better?
