@Forrest Faulconer thank you again for the advice, I appreciate it

@Forrest Faulconer hey thanks for the advice. The west side of Detroit..how would I go about getting those records?

Hey I’m looking to find some properties, preferably on the west side, around 20-30k. I’m new to investing and don’t know the best way to go about that other than the typical Zillow/etc route. I appreciate any help and feedback. Thanks

@Travis Cannon from someone just getting into the business myself with absolutely no experience, I would consider putting that 1500 into a REIT and let it mature while you learn more about the business

@Gary Carver I have good credit and a small amount of savings, so I don’t know where to start. I was born and raised in Detroit so I know the areas very well, I just need a really good start property to get my feet wet and test the waters.

@Dylan Tanaka thanks a lot for the words. Believe it or not, I don’t have social media. I got rid of it all about a year ago. So I don’t really know of any ways to speak to like minded people in my area about it. Again thanks

I'm currently under a VA Mortgage in the home I'm living in. I've been thinking of buying a small investment property to possibly flip quick (within a couple months) in order to make small profits on the side of my 9-5. Does this sound like a good strategy?

Just a thought, has nothing to do with investing, but how will everything that is going on now effect next years taxes? Or the long term economy in general?

@Trent Stone Thanks for the info..Do you think 40k of equity isn't enough to buy a house to flip? What should be my next move after getting the HELOC?
