Hello folks,

As tech companies like Oracle & Tesla look to move to Austin, I was looking at North/Northwest/Northeast Austin to find some investment properties and see that it has already had a big run up over the last few years.

I am new to Austin market and considering buying one or two multi-family units depending on the potential value they present over other investment types for the long run. I am not dependent on immediate cash-flow, and also not looking to fund it further once I buy.

With that background, does it still make sense to buy in Austin if my horizon is about 15 years to see a worthwhile return/appreciation.

Any comments/inputs are much appreciated.

The property value increase is over 60% (unlevered). Cash on Cash would be about 150% in profit. Now, in terms of what to get into, I am open to options - specifically looking for property backed crowd sourcing opportunities that would qualify as 1031 exchange. This is new to me, so not sure what I am asking actually exists or is feasible.

Hello, I have an investment property that has had a great run. I no longer want to manage individual properties though. Is there a way to move my proceeds to a passive investment options using 1031 exchange?
