Recommend you discuss with your escrow agent to get all of the details.  Taxes will be based on you net proceeds and, as others have said, other details (depreciation recapture, cost basis, other expenses, etc.)

William, I will be going through the same process soon in San Diego, so thanks for posting this question. Lots of good feedback so far. I would like add to the question - my going in belief is that my selection process should prioritize marketing/lead generation training since lead generation is the most challenging part of being a new agent. So I'm curious to know what folks think about this belief and how best to balance fee/commission expectations with training expectations?
