This just happened to me. Saw a post on Facebook, a guy asking for help posting rentals on Facebook and for that, he would pay $500 week. Then I googled his “offer” and came here lol. I knew it was a scam, was not sure who was the target, myself or future renter. Of course I did not post anything for them but thx for this post. BiggerPockets rock.

ALWAYS HAVE A REAL ESTATE AGENT TO REPRESENT YOU WHEN YOU BUY, there is no cost to you. Dealing with the seller's agent is like someone knows everyone's hands in a poker table.

it seems like it is a mixed of opinions. I think the best way to find out is getting all this info and try yourself.

Do not buy 100 units, buy one, see how it goes, and move to property 2.

Every investment is a risk and that is the best part of it.
