@Alex Dem Thanks for your message! Yes CT had some great options to suit my budget, but what concerns me is the population outflow, high taxes and the cost of ongoing maintenance of these properties. Most of the properties I’ve been looking at online were built between 1890 and 1920 and I imagine will have significant ongoing maintenance. I would prefer properties that aren’t more than 50 years old. What are you thoughts on this?

@John Barr Thanks for your message! I am open to SFH if necessary as I don't want another year to go by without starting my real estate career! I would be open to chatting to you about the San Antonio market in more depth.

@Bruce Lynn Thanks forvthe tip- I’ll take a look at Denton! I’ve been spending a lot of time researching Texas, especially the Fort Worth Area. It seems like a lot is happening there!

@Leslie Pappas Thank you so much for your reply! Do you normally suggest people go for cash flow and appreciation or focus on one?

Ps. I love Palo Alto! I used to love spending time there when I lived in the area. I miss it!

@Steve Bracero Good point! I will definitely be having a property manager look after the properties on a daily basis and always  add 10% to my calculations.

@David Weintraub Thanks for your reply! I have been looking at cities/towns with 2 hours drive from my house (Worcester, Hartford, Providence etc, like you suggested). There are definitely some options in these areas but what concerns me is the age of these properties. Most of them were built between 1890 and 1920 and I imagine will have significant ongoing maintenance. I would prefer properties that aren’t more than 50 years old. What are you thoughts on this?

Are you investing in the Philly area?

@Matias Pereyra Thanks for your reply! I’m looking for cash flow. Appreciation would be nice, but cash flow is my preference. Where are you investing?

Can you get a HELOC?

I’m located in the Boston area too! I’m finding it difficult to invest in Mass and I’ve started looking out of state.

I agree with @Mike Dymski buy up at the 2% deals! That’s what I’m looking for!

@Zak Parks where are you finding multi families for 100k that rent for 2k pm? This is what dreams are made of 👍
