Thanks so much for posting the information and numbers you had on this duplex! That sounds like it worked out amazing. I have been wondering what local Chattanooga investors are putting down for vacancy and management rates so I found this super helpful!

Thanks Gray Hall! I'll definitely connect with Mat Cox. And I love Linville! I've been climbing at Rumbling Bald this whole week. Such good weather for bouldering right now.

Yeah Eric, you're absolutely right! I'm also into climbing and there is just so much in a very close proximity. A big reason why I want to move there.

Thanks Jefferey, I definitely will!

Hi Petah! I lived in Baltimore for about a year and lived in Federal Hill. I really liked it! There's a ton of bars, parks, restaurants and yoga studios that you can walk to. It always seemed to me like Fed Hill was where younger professionals went, then they moved to Fells Point or Canton. It also depends on what you like. I haven't looked at buying around there but I imagine it is quite pricy. Mt. Vernon was an area that I really liked and it seemed like it was on the up and up. Maybe you can find better deals there. Although, I haven't lived there for about 2 years. Good luck on the move!

Haha JD, I'm quickly learning prices are pretty high right now in Asheville. The other place I'm actually thinking about is Chattanooga! Do you do any investing there?

Hi Robert, thanks a lot for taking the time to welcome me! I want to take advantage of the BRRRR strategy and so renovation work is definitely on the table, although I would probably contract that out, at least the first time anyways. What areas are you finding better deals?

Hi, I'm Quinlan Canary and I don't have any background in real estate...yet. I'm from Miami, Florida but have recently relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. I am a traveling rope access technician and work mostly on wind turbines throughout the U.S. I found Bigger Pockets while I was randomly looking for a podcast to occupy my time as I drove across country and got hooked pretty instantaneously, listening to at least 10, back to back by the end of my drive!

My immediate goal in real estate is to buy a property, preferably duplex, triplex or quadplex in the Asheville area and start house hacking. I did accept the 90 day challenge from the recent webinar "How to Buy Your First (or Next) Rental Property in 90 Days or Less,"and am really hoping to accomplish that goal. My long term goal is to become financially free through real estate investments by the time I'm 30 and stop working for the "man," if not sooner (I'm currently 24).

I'm really excited to have found the Bigger Pockets community and am eager to open up some dialogues with seasoned investors and other rookies like myself!

Cheers!
