Quote from @Jerry Nogueras:

I'm a long time lurker finally getting ready to start making a move and getting that first rental property.

Being a NYC resident (originally from Long Island), the price of entry in the area is on the higher end, so I've been considering some options in the NY Capitol region, as well as NJ and CT.

I'm curious, to investors in NYC, where have you been able to find the most success? Has it been in surrounding areas, OOS investing, or have you found deals in NYC?

Thanks BP!

I can’t speak for other cities, but I have a handful of investor clients from NYC looking and buying over here in Rochester!

Hey John,

I work with several different property managers, which I refer to for my clients (I'm an investor friendly agent over here). I don't know their fee breakdowns, but I can send you over a few to compare fees.

Hey Rebecca, I’m an agent over here in Rochester. A lot of out of town investors like to buy property over here due to the cash flow that they can receive. If you’re interested in more details, feel free to reach out!

Hi everyone,

I’m a part of a real estate investment group. We are looking to invest in Cleveland, Ohio, Rochester, NY or Buffalo, NY. We are currently doing the researching and we would like to get input on the area.

Our kind of strategy is fix and flips. Which cities do you think are good for such a strategy?

We are currently looking for a single-family house 3 bedroom 2 ba with at list 1000SQF with an asking price up to 100K (all in - with some flexibility).

Which cities do you think are good to start?

Happy Thanksgiving, and Thanks in advance.

Hey, I can’t speak for other cities other than Rochester. You can find some properties on market for that, but most will have to be off-market. I work with some wholesalers, so I definitely could help you out with that.
Thank you so much for the nice reply! I am planning to visit Rocheter, and let's connect.
