Thank You @Zach Lemaster. Yes I am certainly confused as I mentioned the information from  different sources were mis leading. Here is the post I was referring to and it maybe irrelevant in this case

The RTR rep I spoke to gave me some information but I didn’t get the full picture. Based on above response from @Patrick Bavaro , I could understand how the financing works. I will definitely speak to the rep again. Are there any references where the newly huilt houses are generating cash flows?

I am in a similar boat with RTR , but I was told to get a construction loan from private lender , will there be any issue with this because the construction timelines are 12 to 14 months. Any hidden fees that I need to worry

I have a similar new build deal offered but I am worried that the build will take more time with the COVID and my fear is that I may pay more interest to the private lender. Also I read in another article that there issues with funding these builds upfront as we are essentially responsible for paying up all the upfront costs ex: assessments, utility. I am unable to decide on this new build, any inputs on this please advise

Follow up to my conversation, is it generally good idea to fund the new builds. I was under the impression that the I would have to pay a binder fee and 20 down and once the construction is completed i will then fund the remaining. The turnkey company I spoke to want me to either pay the house cost upfront or use the private lenders and would essentially pay interest until the house is built. Whats the catch with these kind of deals, I believe the term is construction to permanent loan

Thank you @Stetson Miller@Patrick Bavaro@Josue Vargas@Joe S.@Jay Hinrichs@Adam David Graning. I do see that San Antonio property taxes eating up the cash flow, also the tax rate for the new constructions are little high comparatively. I am hoping to find a SFR in the range of 250 to 300k in cape coral. One agent I spoke to has shown me some NB >300k with well and septic. I am still debating.

Hi All,

I am planning to buy my first investment property. Based in my discussion with multiple turnkey providers the two options came up were new construction properties in San Antonio, texas and Cape coral florida. I am confused now on which area to choose. My goal is to hold onto this for atleast 10 years for appreciation . Please advise. Thank you

Thank you @Jeffrey Evans how is their build quality and warranty support. Spoke to them for New construction in SATX but I am skeptical to pull the plug

Thank you @Steve R.@Shaun Witcher for the response. I will find out. Goal is to have an investment property that can appreciate in 10 years even if it break even on a month to month basis.

Hi All,

New to the forum and trying to get experience in buying a new investment property in and around San Antonio. Came across the lennar new construction on N foster road near dollar general distribution center. The crime rate seems high when I checked out on neighborhood scout. Appreciate any advise on this.

Thanks for your time
