@Brandon Turner Thank you for the info!  You do a great job on the podcast.

@Emerson Miranda Thank you.  I appreciate the welcome.  Since we are in the same area we should get together and see how we can help each other out.

@Brian Diaz On meetup.com you'll be able to find a lot of different REI clubs. Probably ones that are closer to you too. Good luck in your search.

Welcome @Nick Coonis I liked reading about your RE strategy.  I have a similar one of wholesaling for the cash.  Then using that cash for more long term/passive investing.  Perhaps we can help each other out sometime.  Good luck on your journey.

Post: Is wholesaling in inflated markets realistic or possible?

@Brian Huber Not that I can speak from experience since I'm about as green as they come when it comes to wholesaling, but I just sent out my first direct mail campaign in Los Angeles.  I don't know if I chose a bad market but I figured it's better do it and find out myself.  Good luck in your area.

@Vala Shahabi Thank you for writing. It's good to know others who are thinking & doing along the same lines. Although it's hard for me to see too far down the road. Right now I'm building that starting momentum. I hope to cross paths someday soon.

@Joshua McGinnis Thank you for the warm welcome.  I appreciate you reaching out to a newbie like me.  I would be happy to work with you too.

@Paul Timmins Thank you James.  Please have your football team play Johnny Manziel.  I think he's awesome.

Hi Jessica!

Welcome to the site, which is weird for me to say since I'm brand spanking new.

I'm from Los Angeles, but find myself in Philadelphia a couple times a year.  I have thought about looking into real estate there.  Probably buy/hold types.  Just thoughts at this point.  I look forward to see how your projects turn out and what your feel for the real estate market is like there.

Hi Fellow BP'ers!

My name is Powell Chee and today is my first day as a member of BP.  Strange thing is that I don't feel like I'm new to the site because I've listened to every one of the podcasts so far.  Perhaps I'm like some others who have been reading/listening but haven't become members yet.

Well today I was inspired to sign up as a member and I even started a blog about today being Day 1 in my journey as a new wholesaler.

As an intro, here are some good/bad/interesting/boring (you decide) details about me:

  • I started investing in real estate in early 2013 with my 4 brothers and my dad.
    • We created PM Lender which is a private lending company that lends on mid-high end fix/flip projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
    • Since 2013, we have been involved in over 25 projects.
    • Although this has turned into a long term passive income generator for me, it's not enough to replace my income so I still have my day job.
  • After at least 6 months of thinking hemming & hawing, I have decided to jump into wholesaling where I live, Los Angeles.
    • The 2 primary reasons being that I want to escape my day job (although it's a good job that pays well).
    • Secondly that I want to generate cash faster so I can invest it for passive income.

Enough about me.  I look forward to connecting with the BP nation!
