Welcome aboard Chris! I too am new on the site, but feel it is a wonderful place to gain an incredible amount of information. You seem to be thinking this through, which is an excellent start to being successful in real estate.

Hey Derek Johnson, we should chat sometime about this business! Sorry for the delayed response, I travel a lot teaching courses. In fact, I am teaching for John Deere in Moline, IL next week. It is a Project 2010 course...you going to be there?

I use vflyer.com for my real estate website and have been exceptionally happy with them. My site can be viewed at www.cloudoneproperties.com and allows me to make changes on the fly. I do pay $12.95 per month though, which is totally worth it from my results thus far.

Thank you so much everyone! Sorry it took so long to reply, as I have been traveling around teaching courses.

Kenneth E., I was not aware of Beacon and I am not currently a real estate agent. Thank you for the welcome aboard message.

Will Barnard, thank you for the welcome aboard message!

Ned Carey, it has taking me some time, but I am slowly working my way to critical mass...I just wish I knew what that magical number is that would produce that : )

Jodi Melssen, thanks for connecting with me and I hope we can share some awesome info between us to grow and prosper!!!

Brandon Turner, thanks a ton Brandon...and yep, that is my airplane. Her name is Jetty, which my oldest son came up with 6 years ago. I use the airplane to get around to training centers when I am contracted to teach business, project management, and IT courses.

Greetings everyone! My name is Troy Bevans, from Davenport, Iowa. I have been running my single family rental home company since September of 2011, and I am currently closing on my 5th home.

My main area of focus is on single family homes in the town of Bettendorf, Iowa. I actually enjoy landlording and hope that my company will assist me in an early retirement (currently 41...would like to retire by 55).

My company website is [below], and I have been working on building it to market my properties and have a portal for my customers to post work orders and pay rent online.

I have much to learn and feel that I am in the right spot now to grow my knowledge base.

I do not understand why the attorney needs to view a business plan to re-title the properties. Did he/she give you a reason for the need of a business plan? Generally, financial institutions would want to view a business plan if you were planning to obtain some sort of financing to display a "future thought process" for planning and experience prior to them lending you funds. I am interested to see other posts on this.
