@Ryan Fitzgerald, thanks for the comment.  Wilmington is a great area.

Which is my favorite?  That's like choosing a favorite child.  It depends on which aspect of real estate we're discussing as far as favorites go, but I will say that I've read every book mentioned in the podcast and recommend any of them, especially anything by Gallinelli.

Good afternoon!

As the title says, I am new to the site and I live in Wilmington, NC.  I actually grew up here, went to college, and then moved back.   I currently own an environmental company, but I'm looking to diversify and real estate has long been a passion of mine.  I've worked in property management and I've been reading everything I can about different types of RE investing, so I know a small bit but I always want to know more!  I purchased my first income property my senior year of college ( a house that I still own and lease) and now my wife and I are actively looking to purchase our next one.

I am currently mostly interested in finding some buy and hold single family homes within the Greater Wilmington area  and surrounding and then working my way up into multi-family, commercial, etc.  I am actively looking at houses and would love to meet up with some local members and network.

I would also love any recommendations anyone might have about investor-friendly real estate brokers in the area to help me as I try to find good deals like foreclosures, short sales, etc.

I look forward to meeting some new people and learning some new stuff!
