I completely agree, however there is so much I'm trying to take in with this being a two unit property and it being a bit more expensive then my previous unit I'm trying to plan costs effectively.

With my spouse using her VA Loan also she does have a percentage of disability what can I expect discounted from closing costs? As far as lenders what companies and things should I look for especially since this isn't a conventional loan and will be a VA loan.

Background: I'm active Mil, she's retired medically, I've used my VA but not hers, working on 2nd property.

Would closing costs be an issue even with a VA LOAN?

Good evening,

I'm writing to find out about lending companies dos and don't s with a VA loan. I'll be using my second VA loan( 1st mine, now my spouses), when asking my Realtor or any in fact they always push me to their 'default lender'. What sort of kickbacks are they getting? Is their lender the best, especially in the case of a VA loan? I know or at least think I know VA loans typically are the lowest interest rates on the market so would their company be different from anyone elses? Lastly I plan on doing a 30 year fixed and keeping the home as a flip and hold after living in it for some time, would this be the best strategy? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Situation: I have a SFH that is about to be a rental property, I used a VA loan for the purchase and lived in it for 3 years. How should I inform my lender of this fact, especially since it was with my VA loan? Will there be a steep change in my interest rates? Or once the rate is fixed it won't fluctuate? USAA insures my home do they have excellent coverage with rental properties?

So on top of that occurring my wife, who also was in the military wants to use her VA LOAN to purchase another home an hour south in the same county for us to move to. Will this all be possible?

-Side note info: I'm still active duty. My wife is retired from the military. Tenants have been vetted properly.  We are more worried about the transition with the lender and what they'll say about us renting the home out. Then, moving into another home with my wife's va loan. Opinions public or private are welcome!

Thank you for your reply, I'll definitely look into a RE attorney and follow up on zoning restrictions.
